The Z Hotel Soho

The location of this hotel is hard to beat. I literally had to walk just one minute to get to the Prince Edward Theater. Additionally, the staff were pretty great. Teo took good care of us, as did the others at the front desk and in the café. We were happy to learn about member perks such as unlimited specialty coffees and tea at the café, starting at 6:30am. The suite was very spacious - bigger than our apartment! We will stay here again in the future.

tl;dr: You're booking this hotel for the location. In exchange, the rooms are.....sufficient. The great: * The location. Right in the heart of the theaters, near a tube station, plenty of restaurants and bars. Very active block, great people watching. The OK: * Rooms are quite compact. The Z Inside Double was the bed (wall to wall), the bathroom, and just enough floor space for the door to open. You could tuck one suitcase under the bed, but if you also had a backpack it was going to sit on the floor. No closet space for any clothes (some hooks on the door for jackets/shirts/etc.). This is a room to come to at the end of the night and crash, not to spend any time at all in. The not so good: * The Wifi. Devices are constantly being logged out and require reauthentication through a captive portal. Signal strength just OK * Storage (see "Rooms" above) * Shower head wasn't great. High pressure mist, not adjustable other than flow strength. Sufficient for a shower (I recommend 1/3 to 1/2 strength on the water pressure) but not particularly pleasant. At max temperature the shower was fine, but any lower setting would have felt cold.

Can't praise the staff here enough: Housekeeping located the phone I'd accidentally left there an hour after we left, Reception rang us straight away to assure us it was safe & then liaised with my daughter to return it at the earliest opportunity- thank you so much! Rooms are very compact but are extremely clean & tidy & have everything you need. Location is fabulous - directly opposite the theatre we were visiting & a short stroll from the tube; plus excellent price & great value for money!

Wonderful location! I am a solo traveler with carry-on luggage and this was perfect for me. Modern, clean room with everything I needed. Reception service was very friendly, offering late checkout if I desired. There was also free cheese plate and wine which I didn't have time to get. They have a 24 hour cafe which I didn't get to try, but I took a peek and it seemed a good place to decompress outside of the street noise. I am impressed and will look out for Z Hotels in other locations when I travel.

Stayed here in March. Great location! An old building with some rooms not accessible to the elevator, so be sure to ask if that’s important to you. We were upgraded to a studio-like space which was great—good size bathroom, kitchenette, sitting area in addition to the sleeping area. Great, helpful staff. Enjoyed it

Rooms very small. Water can go everywhere when having a shower. Staff very friendly. Food and drink served all night. Great location. Not a place to go if noise bothers you. It doesn't bother me so it was fine. Courtyard in the middle of the hotel was quirky.

A very bizarre, marmite hotel. I would definitely stay here again though. The rooms were tiny, which for the price is wild. The bed is super hard however I have a bad back which actually was quite helpful but don't suggest staying here if you like sleeping on hard beds. The shower was a meh experience. Very powerful but being a tiny room the water goes everywhere. Sky TV is included in the room which is nice, distracts from the box you're sleeping in. Water placed by the bed (win), tea and coffee also included. I wouldn't stay here with friends though as the bathrooms are rather see through, unbothered if you're by yourself or as a couple though. The team are super friendly here though which is amazing. All in all stay here if you don't mind the above.

Firstly the location is spot on You walk out and you are less than 30 seconds walk from either the Harry potter theatre or the MJ musical which is pretty epic. The service was very good and the staff were polite, they even let us check in 2 hours early which was a bonus. The room was rather small but it was just somewhere to lay our heads so that didn't really matter, it was the location that was key. Overall very positive.
